About Kyoto Inks Kyo No Oto No.11 Fountain Pen Ink – Ruriiro
Ruriiro is in Kyoto Inks Kyo No Oto range of exclusive Japanese inks and is presented in a 40ml glass bottle, elegantly packaged in a thick card box.
Ruriiro is a bright blue ink with a purple tinge and a silver flake shimmer, translated it means lapis lazuli. Originally, Ruri was a jewel produced on Mt. Meru, which rises in the centre of the Buddhist world, and is one of the seven treasures of Buddhism. The lapis lazuli colour associated with the colour of the jewel was also sacred as the supreme colour.
Silver flake, being a solid residue, will sink to the bottle of the bottle if unused – simply shake well to rejuvenate. Due to the sedimentary nature of this product we do not recommend you leave in your fountain pen for prolonged periods of non-use and do not recommend for use in vintage fountain pens with fine feed systems.
