The Pilot Capless Fountain Pen was launched in 1964 in celebration of the Tokyo Olympics and provides the perfect combination of luxury and technology to the discerning fountain pen user. It is such a brilliant design that little has changed in the workings of this pen over the last 50 years! A simple cap end push-button is used to protract and retract the nib and when in the closed position, an ingenious airtight seal prevents the nib from drying out.
This fountain pen is fitted with an 18k gold nib, comes with gold plated trim and can be used with either ink cartridges or a converter for bottled ink. One black ink cartridge and a converter are supplied with this pen which comes in a high gloss acrylic storage box.
